스튜디오글루의 이준석 대표는 서울디자인재단의 2017 서울디자인컨설턴트로 선정되어 서울 양천구 신월5동 주민들과 함께 쓰레기 무단투기의 개선방안과 어린이 놀이공간의 조성방안을 함께 고민하게 되었습니다. 디자인 컨설팅은 완성된 디자인을 제공하는 것이 아니라, 주민들 스스로 해결책의 적합성을 고민하고 논의과정에서의 분쟁을 민주적으로 해결하며, 앞으로 또 다시 발생할 디자인의 소요에 대해 능동적으로 대처할 수 있도록 도와드리는 것이라고 생각합니다.
Max has been selected as one of the Seoul Design Consultants of 2017, and is currently working with the neighbourhood of Shinwol 5-dong in west Seoul. The tasks are to come up with applicable ideas for reducing street littering and a concept for a new children's playground. We would not, as a consultant, give them a design but support them with design-tools that would lead to reasonable thought processes and democratic decision making, in hopes that the neighbourhood will be better prepared for the many other problems to come.
